Binary and Partial Load

Hi Team,

Kindly help me is there any work around for folder creation for a Binary load.
I mean for a Binary load do we have any alternate like instead of Folder creation .qvf can be uploaded and that Data Model of the app be utilized in new app without creating any folder connection in new app. Please suggest.Basically , we need a workaround for folder creation.

Thanks

Hi, Binary load can load full Data Model (but not master items or sheets, just data tables) from another already existing app to the new one. If it is enough data for new app, yes, you don't need to load anything more and can reuse data from Binary load.

More about it https://help.qlik.com/en-US/sense/August2021/Subsystems/Hub/Content/Sense_Hub/Scripting/ScriptRegula...

but keep in mind, that "Only one binary statement is allowed in the script. The binary statement must be the first statement of the script"

Thanks a Lot for the Response!!.
So, in order to go for an alternate approach to folder data connection. We have to enable legacy scripting mode right? please confirm.

If you don't want to create lib connection, than, yes, you need to enable legacy mode. But Binary is working with both approaches, with standard mode [lib://data/app.qvf] and with legacy mode C:\data\app.qvf
