Color by Expression on Map Object

We are using a map object and would like to customize the colors by dimension.  Setting the color to By Dimension uses Qlik's color palette but does show the dimension name in the tooltip.  If I change it to By Expression I can control the color but instead of the dimension name and value it's showing 'Color Expression' and the color.  I need to be able to set the color and keep the dimension name/value.

I know it is a late reply and I am not sure if this is what you needed, but I've had a similar situation and I've dealt with that, so I hope it can help you too.

What I did was I created a Master Item Measure, that was identical to what my colour/size expression would be, and I've used it as in Colour By Measure instead of Color By Expression. The result was the same, just with the nice label.

As you can see on the attached screen, the labels on map pop-up are changed.

Would that solve your issue as well?

Thanks for the reply Slynny.  I'll give it a try.  I've used this in other charts but did not think of using it with the Map.
