Converting to date format

Hi,

I have date in below format 

'V32022001' .

Here format is V3&YYYY&0&01...last 2 digits are month number.

I want to show this as Apr 22 in MMM YY format.

Tried using following but no output is coming up.

DATE(date#($(vPeriod),'V3YYYY0MM'),'MMM YY');

How to resolve this?
