		Hi,
Can any end user create/update variables? Is there a work around for creating variables in published apps?

		Hi,
I see the below extension. But what I want is, to create a new variable from a published app.
Variable extension for Qlik Sense
Allows the user to set the value of a variable.

		Hi
I don't think an end user can create a new variable. Unless they have edit approval

they can change the value using the above extension without using edit
But why would you want end users to set up new variables. (I certainly wouldn't)

It was a requirement from the team. What is edit approval for a published app?

		Hi
The only way I know that a new variable can be set up outside of script is by using Edit. But if a user can't edit an App I don't think there is anyway to set up a new (as opposed to just changing a value) variable.
(but this is based on using QSCB)

Thanks for your reply. So i think a variable can't be created from published app.
