Default bookmark doesn't apply selection on opening the app

I am expecting the app to filter field 'batch_date' for the last 7 days, but it only applies the selection if I apply the bookmark manually. Why isn't it behaving as expected? I have attached a screenshot of the bookmark parameters.

Maybe this OnOpen action is conflicting with any other OnOpen action or with a features like SessionRecovery.

Beside this you may also try to adjust the statement to:

{< batch_date = {">=$(=today()-7)"}>}
