Define Sense Master Items in Script?

Hi

I have a QVW application, I load it with binary statement in QSense Script. The QVW contains a table holding all definitions of dimensions (fields, names, descriptions), KPIs (formulas, descriptions etc.) etc.

Is it possible to create QSense Master Items (Dimensions, KPIs) in script, or to re-use the QView definitions in my tables? It is a Little penible if I have to manually re-add Information that is already contained in my QView data.

Hey Marcel,

There is currently no way of defining master items from within the load script.

However you could check out any of these two open source projects which might make it a little bit less painful for you to migrate over

we had a look at both ressources

The first one Needs viusal studio, but the sources do not compile correctly. So it seems it is not really useful.

The second uses all of the existing formulas for KPI Definition, and as such does not provide the means we want.

This is an outdate post that still pops up in google and the links to these resources are all dead, but you can try out MasterConfig which does what you want!
