Drop down values based on other drop down

Hi,

I am trying to have two drop downs - Product Category and List of Products for my QlikSense app. I wish to limit drop down values in List of Products based on the selected Product Category. In this other query Set items on a drop down based on selected item in another drop down, they have manually set each dependent field value, can I somehow pick the values directly from the loaded table?

Thank you

Hi Reaaa1234,

I´m think you just connect the two dimensions tables and the Associative Engine will be what you want. You can do that from a fact table or directly between them (Star Schema or Snow Flake).

After that, when you choose a value at the first dimension, the second automatic shows the possible values in white color, and the non-possible in the grey color, just simple like that. It´s called The Power of Grey. Se more at Qlik Associative Difference

If you want to hide the non-possible values, you will need to download some filter extensions at https://developer.qlik.com/garden like Climber Selection Bar.
