Dynamic Date selection using a button

My requirement is to create  buttons to select Current month, Previous month and Previous Quarter from Reporting_Date Field

Suppose Current Reporting date is 11/30/2017, then Clicking on previous month gives 10/31/2017.

Use cases:

• multiple options (current/previous month end or previous quarter-end) can be selected at the same time

Thanks, Although not part of my requirement, but just to play around with logic, I added 12/31/2017 and 01/31/2018 in Inline load for reporting date and suddenly it doesnt work.

Has to do with the formatting... check now... and please mark the correct and helpful responses (instead of marking Assumed Answer)
