How to change font style in Qlik Sense?

Hello!

Can anybody please tell me how to change font styles in Qlik Sense for Charts? E.g. I want to change the font styles for titles, Dimensions, and Measure values. How can I do that?

Hi!

the files will be overwritten when a new version is installed. We have to modify the files again.

I cannot answer the question about the license agreement with Qlik. If you get an answer, could you please let me know?

thanks,

regards,

Emma

Hi,

I have asked some people in my organization who contact Qlik for installation/support. They mentioned to me that, changing the files that contains Qlik proprietary code may void the license agreement (but the question is how will Qlik identify any such change .) .

So, we decided to use the CSS way of changing the font though it is limited.

https://www.qlik.com/us/legal/license-terms

You may find more information in the license terms document.

Hopefully, someone in this forum may give us more clarity on this.

Thanks

Qlik Sense still has no solution for changing font style.

Regarding changes in the code - you are right, it could void the license.

I saw one document showing how to change format of numbers - the doc has been blocked by Qlik. Changes in the code are forbidden.

Try this Extension:

Styling Qlik Sense sheets and Objects

With that you can more than only change the font style but changing that is one of the functions

If you want to play with QS - it's fine. Thanks for the link

There is one big problem with extensions - they are not supported by Qlik.

Nevertheless, when it comes to provide stakeholders with dashboards - you cannot risk. And the QS extensions are very risky.

It happend many times that extensions stopped working after QS update or some extensions are just unstable.

That's the reason why we avoid using extensions in our organization.tt

btw, in other solutions such as i.e. Tableau there is a native functionality that allows you to change font style, size, colors etc..

I have managed to change some fonts in Qlik Sense by changing the theme.css file but I'm not able to change fonts within the charts. Can this be done within the theme.css? I don't have access to Qlik Server.

Hi Suxahak0, thanks for your contribution.

How do you import that fontstyle object to Qlik sense?

i am very surprised, qliksense is does not have direct option to change the style of data labels and fonts. its very basic feature  , as a BI tool it should be there . all other BI tool is having this  feature. also customization with source codes is time consuming.  so this is a big disadvantage of qlik
