How to show value for Current Period and Previous Period

Hi,

I have to show KPI# numbers for enquiry received for current period vs previous period.

e.g. table/field names are :   enq_no,enq_date

Current Period is : 01-Jan-16 to 12-Oct-16

Previous Period also should be 01-Jan-15 to 12-Oct-15

Can somebody help me to make formula for Previous Period.

I am new to qlik sense and have not much idea about programming in qlik sense.
