Hi all,
We link directly to Qlik Sense sheets from an iFrame in our web app. This is working great, but we would very much like to limit the dataset that is available in the Qlik app. We have users logging into our web app and they are not allowed to see all data in the system, so we would like to filter out data in Qlik Sense app when a certain user access it.
We know that we can provide filter selections in the URL of the report. The problem is that the user can clear the filter and then have access to all the available data.
Is there any way of limiting the data according to some restrictions in a Qlik Sense app when opening it?
We have thought about an alternative solution where we use the filter selections in the URL and then somehow disable that the user can use filter selections in the app (don't know if this is possible with security rules?). But it is not a very good approach, since we would like the user to be able to have different selections and the ability to create bookmarks etc.
Thanks!
Hi Rasmus,
The Section access may fulfill the requirement, to restrict data to the users. It is like row level security in db engines.
