Master Measures & Dimension Definitions

Is there a way we can update Master Item descriptions for Master dimensions & Measures like we can add { Comment Field } descriptions for Table dimensions & measure in Qlik script?

The short answer is no, I do suggest, if you are on Qlik Cloud, you use the automation templates to maintain your master items by importing and exporting them in Excel.

Can loading master items via excel be accomplished in Qlik Sense too and if yes what would that look like

I would look for a Server Side Extension to see if anybody is sharing a utility for the windows versions of Qlik Sense. Otherwise you'll have to hone your api skills to create something yourself.
