Hi,
From my research online, it seems that Qlik does not currently support Northern Ireland at the area level. Is that correct?
On my map, when I set the country to 'UK,' Northern Ireland is not populated at all. The only way I can get Northern Ireland to appear highlighted is by changing the location type to Auto. However, doing this removes some of the internal UK boundaries and results in an inaccurate map representation.
Could you confirm whether Northern Ireland area-level mapping is currently supported in Qlik, or if there is another way to achieve this while retaining the correct UK boundaries?
Thank you
Hi @chiragpatel
Northern Ireland is often missed out in UK geocoding data sources. Qlik is just leaning on some of those sources for their geocoding, I suspect.
Are you doing the geocoding in the load script or geocoding on the fly in the map settings? If you are using the load script to associate areas then you might be able to export the areas from both the UK set and non-bound data sets and then create your own one, which contains the UK geos and then has Northern Ireland manually appended. If the map is doing the geocoding that will not be an option.
