ODAG Slow Performance generating Child App - Main cause

Hi All,

we're facing a strange behavior in Qlik Sense, for an app that have been developed with ODAG.

After filtering the father app to fulfill the ODAG threshold and pressing the button Generate App the system takes some minutes before start generating the child app.

For example:

1. Generate App button: 14:55:40
2. Child App generation start: 14:59:37
3. Child app generation end: 15:10:10

What could be the main causes that I can investigate?

The cause could be on how the app has been developed or it is something that could depends on our infrastructure?

Our current version is Qlik Sense February 2021 Patch 6 - 14.5.8.

We had the same issue, wait for 4-7 minutes then starts with the app generation. Have you a solution for the problem?

Hi Renato,

ODAG has been implemented in a wrong way by the developer. 

After a review and optimization all performed well.

Can you explain, what you make wrong?

Or how you implement now ODAG apps. It could be that we do it also wrong.
