PDF Report Printing Error

We are using Report Printing feature in one of our dashboards.
This feature was working fine when we were on version April 2020. We recently updated QlikView to May 2023 SR2.
But now we are getting following error:

We have tried different fixes that were available on Qlik community.
Could you please help us in resolving this issue.

Hi @NaveetaRajput_

Presumabily you are referring to a PDF printer for the built in QlikView desktop reporting tool.

If so, It is likely that you have either:

1. deleted your default pdf printer

2. are being redirected to a virtual printer while logged into an RDP session

3. no default PDF printer is selected

Next:

Check your computer's printer's in control panel to see if any of the above are true.

Solution 1: Reinstall QlikView desktop

Solution 2: Force/select a local PDF printer to be your default PDF printer

Solution 3. Select a PDF printer as your default printer

Hope it helps...

Hi @Frank_S ,

We have updated our Qlikview desktop recently and this issue started only after this upgrade.

Also, we have already tried point 2 and 3 as well.

Thanks!

Naveeta

If this is affecting only one machine, it could be a problem with the machine itself (laptop or desktop) such as registry issues.

It could also be a problem with the user's windows profile. You could try these if you wish.

1. Save the users desktop settings bookmarks, data etc, then delete and re-create their user profile. If this doesn't work, go to point 2.

2. Reformat/Reinstall the windows OS for the entire machine (Iaptop/desktop) and reinstall QlikView/NPrinting

If this issue is affecting all your PCs at your company rather than just the one, then please do start a support case.

Kind regards.
