Hello,
I just upgraded with success a Qlik Sense Site from February to April 2018 version.
Now I'm facing the attached error while opening the app.
below the engine log error:

Other apps are working with no error.
Where I should look for some error logs ?
What could be the reason for this issue and how can I fix it ?

Thanks in advance for your time.

single node currently - we will be adding RIM nodes soon.
Actually, given you have a single RIM node maybe you have an idea about a question I posted here:
Qlik Sense Scheduler RIM Node
Hi Andrea and Toni,
We have the same issue regarding the engine service not restarting in an automated manner. We need to manually restart it after a restart on April 2018.
Hi,
Given that this only happens with one application on each of our environments there must be some commonality between them. Here are some details on mine:
1. The application has section access (and the section access file is quite big, potentially 1000's per user)
2. We have many community sheets
3. There is some fairly complex set analysis in there
4. There is an extension object from qlikbranch
5. It is quite old (possibly one of the first created on Qlik Sense back on version 2.?)
How does your corrupt application compare?
Thanks,
Matt
I still not got any patch or workaround from Qlik support.
Did you?
Does April Patch 1 or June version fix this issue ?
No updates for us either, we are manually fixing the application every day. I will be installing patch 1 next weekend so we will see if that helps.
I believe it is related to section access in some way, because the same application without it applied never becomes corrupt. Are you able to try what I said in an earlier post? I would be interested in knowing if you publish the application to another stream without section access to see if it becomes corrupt.
When I'll do it I'll let you know.
However with previous versions there was not this issue.
It's boring to manually recovering the app every day.
I hope it will be fixed very soon.
Did patch 1 fix the issue?
nope
Hi,
Have you received any updates from Qlik? Were you able to try this? I'm trying to give them as much information as possible to help because I am in a situation where I need to reload application file multiple times a day currently and we have no fix.
Thanks,
Matt
