Hi,
I have a scenario. There is a Qliksense app with 100 sheets. Users doesn't want to see all sheets together. The sheets needs to be grouped under subject areas(or sections). So that the user can select the sheet he wants easily (imagine looking for a specific sheet among 100 sheets).
So basically I need some method of grouping for the sheets of an app - like a folder or something. Is there any solutions/extensions or work arounds for this?
Hi Reshma, other than a mashup, a workaround can be using an extesion that helps to navigate through app sheets, ie:
A first sheet as Menu, other buttons in sheets to return to menu (or main sheet of the section)
It may be a design issue? 100 unique sheets in 1 app?
App with 100 sheets was a business requirement. I don't know the details of the app, and not sure if it can be split. It was migrated from another BI tool to Qlik sense and I don't think the business wants any alterations to the original app.
Migrations should always be a time for a sanity check... just doing it as we always have will not lead to improvements. In fact, as it sounds in this case, the new tool has different features that make the original solution no longer valid. I wonder how long it takes to load 100 sheets....
FYI, Qlik has the ability to binary load a data model, so you could create a single data model and then several apps that binary load it to present different UIs to create the separation.
Another, more complex solution, could be to use security to hide sheets from users based on the assumption they don't need access to the others.
