Hi Community,
I have a QlikView application with a table that has a link to download files (pdf and msg), the app is working in QlikView desktop, but is not working in the AccessPoint.
Is this a setting configuration?
Thanks
Hi pasgalbarra,
This is a browser security feature where it's not allowed access to the file system.
Happily, QlikView comes with its own webserver built in which can be used to access files and folders.
Have a look at https://community.qlik.com/t5/Official-Support-Articles/How-to-host-pdf-files-on-the-QlikView-Webser...
Thanks,
Simon
@pasgalbarra for .msg you have to add this to the Mime Types, this is not a default Extension
The MIME type for .msg files should be application/vnd.ms-outlook if I'm correct
Hi,
I tryed this, but did not work
I did it, but still not working.
Does the link work from you machine when you paste it in your Windows Explorer window?
QlikVIew only refers to the link, you're machine has to download or open it
Yes, it does
@pasgalbarra ok, does clicking the link in the accesspoint give you any error?
Nop, I can see the link at the bottom of the app, but nothing is downloaded.
@pasgalbarra tested a simple document with this link https://help.qlik.com/en-US/sense-admin/May2024/pdf/System%20requirements%20for%20Qlik%20Sense.pdf
The url shows same as with your app
When I click the link it opens a new window displaying the pdf.
Have you got a popup blocker?
