Qliksense Geoanalytics: Access is denied

Anyone know what might be causing this error?

Qlik Geoanalytics on Qlik Sense Enterprise is throwing an error message "Access is denied"

Only happens when the bubble layer objects are made visible/not visible.

And this error does not occur when I'm editing the app in my work stream. Only happens when I publish the app.

I spoke with the Qlik Geoanalytics Engineer in Sweden and apparently you're not supposed to be able to turn on/off the layers.

I created a workaround (shown below).

Here’s the workaround.

  1. Create a variable in the load script. For example vShowLayer
  2. Using the extension variable-toggle, create a toggle with 0=hidden, 1=visible
  3. In the properties for the bubble layer, use this variable in an IF clauses to control the visibility of that layer.

Do you have Section Access implemented?

Section Access will not work while you are working under your personal space but will only work once it has been published... hence that is the normal behavior.

The reason you might be getting access denied is you may be restricted to one of the dimension in your Geo-Map.

Check your SA script

We're not using Section Access. So that's not the problem.

Not sure what else can be the issue unless you upload the sample app itself?

Hello -

We are experiencing the same issue and have opened a case with Qlik Support today.

It is only happening to published apps.

Environment Details:

Sense June 2018

GeoAnalytics June 2018
