Can anyone explain why the selections appear like this?

Selections on the same field have been made in multiple states.

You can't change the way Qlik displays multiple-state selections, as far as I know. If your app uses multiple states, this is how selections will show up.

I found a solution.
Just delete the master items in the alternative states.
