Sheet thumbnail dimensions?

Been looking through the Sense docs for the exact dimensions of sheet and app thumbnail images, no luck though.

As Sense stretches the image to fill the sheet thumbnail image, a square image will look all distorted.

Does anyone know the exact dimensions - or at least the aspect ratio - of those images?

From what I can tell the expected aspect ratio is ca 1.6, would be nice getting that confirmed though.

Hi Göran,

According to our docs the optimal aspect ratio is 8:5, so yes it's 1.6.

According to the devs I just talked to the actual screen resolution for now is 272x176.

Duh - I looked at that page at least twice but didn't see the aspect ratio. Me bad.

I created a thumbnail (400x250, i.e. 8:5) with a circle in it but id didn't look quite right in the hub (Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows, February 2023, in Google Chrome). Experimenting a bit, it seems that the dimensions in the app settings, where the thumbnail is added, is 8:5 (1.6) but in the hub I'm seeing something like 1.52 (dimensions 400x263 seem right).

Is this something that happens in my environment for some reason, or do other people see this phenomenon as well?

I created two thumbnails with different aspects, and two apps that I named according to the image dimensions. The circle is round in both the original images, but in the hub it looks like the one that does NOT have the 8:5 proportion is round. It should be the 8:5 image that has the round circle.

It's a bit difficult to see in this screenshot, but the circle in the image to the right looks slightly narrower and higher, but the circle to the left looks round even though it doesn't have the proportions suggested by the documentation.

I'm attaching both thumbnails I used so anybody could try themselves.
