What is controlling the sort order of Nodes in Sankey chart within Qlik Visualization Bundle

HI, 

Am currently authoring a patient care pathway using the Sankey chart within the Qlik Visualizaton Bundle.   Having come across the scenario where you cannot control the sort order of nodes, I found the suggestion to use the Vizlib extension instead

However, I am trying to fathom why I would want to pay for an external component when a perfectly good one already exists within the Qlik Visualizaton Bundle.  Will the functionality of Qlik's Sankey chart be improved on future releases, I wonder? 

Although I cannot control the sort order with any parameter / functionality right now, is anyone from Qlik able to answer what is controlling that sort order of the Nodes in the first place?   Reason I ask is if the node order relates to the sort order that Qlik loads data, there could be a workaround based on controlling the data load

Check the newest version Sep 2020 - it has custom sort for sankey chart :
