back ticks around some fields and not others

I've noticed that when using the Select Data function in the Load Script editor and inserting the resultant script, that some dimensions are surrounded by back-ticks and others are not, like so:

LOAD `CAM_PRODUCT_SP_PK`,
`WORK_TYPE`,
CODE,
DESCRIPTION,
`TYPE`,
`LOGICAL_DELETE`;
SQL SELECT `CAM_PRODUCT_SP_PK`,
`WORK_TYPE`,
CODE,
DESCRIPTION,
`TYPE`,
`LOGICAL_DELETE`
FROM OzarkoBTN.`gra_cam_product_sp`;

What do these back-ticks signify and can I remove them safely without harming the data load?
