Hi Natalia,

By default, the QS Server use HTTP Basic Authentication which it wasn't designed to manage logout. Unlike form login, it won't redirect users back to the login page. For the "Logged out" windows as the image you uploaded, I guess it kills the session so the message returns "You are not logged in to Qlik Sense". For a better design, I think the Refresh button should be replaced with a button to close the Internet browser window/tab. Clicking the Refresh button just restore the login session.

To make the Logout works, you can modify the configuration of "Windows authentication pattern" from Windows (default) to Forms. This changes will use form login instead of the pop up Windows login. You can find the setting in the QMC Virtual proxies - authentication section.

I noticed that this change would cause an issue to the Tasks "Reload License Monitor" and "Reload Operation Monitor", they will be failed when reload. Please refer to this post for solution reload license monitor : QVX_UNEXPECTED_END_OF_DATA , an additional Virtual proxy with "Windows authentication pattern" as Windows is required and the eight Data connections start with qrs_* are required to update the Connection strings as well

Hope this help.

Hi..

If you're using IE you can turn off User Authentication in the browser.

Open up Internet Options and click the Security tab.

Click the custom level button.

Then scroll down until you see the option in the picture

What browser are you using? - This is odd as I am aware that this occurs to me as well with Firefox and Chrome, unless I CLOSE the browser am I truly "logged out". This is a browser thing and I believe is adjusted in settings of the browser. Is it possible that an auto-login is occurring? I have 2.0 locally and on an Amazon server and I am always prompted to login each time I close my browser.

Send over the steps and browser you are using and we can try to reproduce. Also make note of any add-ons that might be installed.

Please mark the appropriate replies as CORRECT / HELPFUL so our team and other members know that your question(s) has been answered to your satisfaction.

It' s about chrome and IE. Is true, if I close the browser , I truly logged out.

One my client wants that the log out option to work (like in gmail, yahoo etc),see below:

1. here is a option to log out.

2. If I click to log out , I get this message.

Hi Chadwick Leung‌,

I don't have option "Forms" on "Windows authentication pattern" in Qlik Sense Server. Please see the options in below image.

How can I get  Forms?

Hi Natalia

You must type "Forms", on the field named "Windows authentication pattern" (The third one on the AUTHENTICATION section)

Best regards
