Nested container objects fails in 11.20 SR7 using plugin client

Hello,

Attached the different behaviour between Plugin and Desktop client and Ajax and WebView client mode.

The active object type is a container object that have inside another container object.

With QLIK Desktop you see as below:

With QLIK Desktop in WebView you see as below:

While using version 11.20 SR5 it works well.

Hi,

You may have to follow below tasks to fix the issue. See the attached release notes for SR 7.

Since my customer have 11.20 SR5 installed I need to have the correct behaviour in both versions.

I noted the issue is NOT related to the prj folder because I tried to move the qvw file in other location and it doesn't works.

Also it's not clear what I have to do to fix this issue.

I thought is there a way to have Qlik Desktop SR7 and SR5 installed on the same machine ?

You can do the installation for different qlikview version on single desktop machine. Either you can install them in different folder or follow below steps,

Install SR5 first --> copy qv.exe from program files and past it somewhere in different folder --> uninstall SR5 --> install SR7.

Please note, if you are following second method, you have to double click on qv.exe to open qlikview SR5 window.

I am usually following second method because I have to deal with many versions for my different clients

Hello,

There is a bug.

We're here with this problem in the company. There was no information about this bug (if you need I got the bug ID), we contacted support and opened a bug. There is still no solution, Qlik is working on this problem, but the SR version 11.2 beta 8 not fully correct the problem. We are called to open for 19 days, I believe that soon Qlik will correct and provide a patch.

Kid regards.
