Authentication on a Testserver

Hello everyone,

I would like to set up Qlik Sense on a test server. The authentication on the server itself is not done via Active Directory data. I have created a user directory connector in Qlik itself and connected it to our AD. The synchronisation works and I can see everything I would expect under User.

I have two test users and both are Rootadmin and have a Professional licence. User1 is from our AD and is not a user of the server. User2 is a user of the server, but not in the Active Directory.

If I now want to connect from my PC (where I am logged in with User1) via a URL to the HUB, for example, this works with User2, but not with User1. So it seems that only the Windows authentication of the server counts but not the AD data of the user directory connector.

Does anyone have any idea what I am doing wrong or what I need to set (or have set)?

Best regards

Sven

Hi @BI_Sven,

As I understand you can not login with local user thats on the AD not on server, but you can login with local user thats on server not AD. If so could you provide what error or message did you get while you try to login.

Moreover you should know the server thats Qlik Sense installed, and domain that include the AD users must be trusted each other. For example there is a domain thats DOMAINX and server must be on DOMAINX or they must be trusted each other DOMAINX and server. You can test it with try to login server with DOMAINX user. If you can successfully login the server with domain user provide some screenshots that you get while you try to login on HUB with domain user.

Best regards,

Ramazan
