Hi, seven days ago I was able to read shared files from OneDrive using the OneDrive Metadata connector, but now it can’t find any shared folders. Neither the Metadata connector nor the OneDrive connector is working for shared folder, only My Files are visible.
When I access OneDrive directly, I can see and open the shared files without any issue, but they don’t appear in Qlik.
It’s strange because everything was working fine a week ago, and nothing has changed on my side. Do you know if there’s been any update in Qlik or OneDrive that could be causing this?
In the Metadata connector, only one file appears, but in OneDrive, I can see two additional files and five folders.
Hi, unfortunately it looks like there may be an ongoing issue with the OneDrive API - there are similar issues reported:
This does not seem to be affecting all customers - for example our internal tests are passing.
There have been no updates to the SaaS OneDrive connector recently.
Hello, have you resolved this issue?
Hi, No.
Any update on this topic? I still have the same problem, on premise and in the Qlik Cloud.
Hi @Wouter_FruityLine : Microsoft has deprecated the /me/drive/sharedWithMe API endpoint. So, the limitation is on their side.
In theory, it should still work until November 2026 "in a degraded state". In practice, it seems to be almost never be working.
@Daniele_Purrone what should be a workaround? Do i have to use a other tool for file sharing then Onedrive?
The standard within our company at the moment is OneDrive for file sharing.
@Wouter_FruityLine : if you plan to stay on OneDrive, I am not aware of any workaround. If the APIs are not working, even 3rd party tools won't be to able to connect.
I would say you would need to use a different type of storage: I have just tried Dropbox, and shared folders work there, but you might consider other options.
