Hello. I am attempting to connect to SQL server databases where I have read-only access via windows authentication. Can you connect to SQL Server databases via Windows Authentication or do I need to use a SQL Account?
You can do both the ways. It's depends on your use.Whats's the challenge? Via windows you have to setup usename & password.

If you are using Qlik Sense, it gives you the option when you set up the data connection to choose Windows authentication or user name.
