Google Spreadsheet ListWorksheet Failes?

Hello everyone,

This used to work but:

If I go to the Qlik Google Drive & Spreadsheets Connector an run ListSpreadsheets, I get a list of valid spreadsheets. I copy paste the Spreadsheet Key into the ListWorksheet, and this gives me the following error:

 • There was an error running the table (Failed on attempt 1 to GET. (The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send.))

I tried this with several sheets and several (Google) users.

Please advise.

Hi - This is working for me. Can you confirm what version of Qlik Web Connectors you are using?

The 'The underlying connection was closed' could also suggest that the connection is being terminated by the server or some other network device on the way. Is it possible something changed with your network/proxy recently?

Hi,

It's working here for me.

Are you on the latest version of the connectors?

If you go to the log files (back at the top menu) is anything shown in the logs that indicates what went wrong?

Thanks you both for responing on this short notice.

The version I am running is: Version: March-2020 (2.77.1.23956)

It could be that network components (firewall?) have been changed without me knowing; but then I would expect the ListSpreadsheets to also not work....

This message is in the logfiles:

<WebExcp>System.Net.WebException: The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send. ---> System.IO.IOException: Unable to read data from the transport connection: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond. ---> System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond
at System.Net.Sockets.NetworkStream.Read(Byte[] buffer, Int32 offset, Int32 size)
--- End of inner exception stack trace ---

But I can imagine that that is not going to bring us any further....

Kind regards, Luuk

This is a long shot but have you got a virus checker running? I think I have seen issues before where that closes a connection. If so might be worth trying the request with it disabled.

I had SFTP falling foul of something on my domestic router blocking things.

Tried with mobile tethering and it was fine.

Same issue was there with FileZilla though - so not a QWC issue.

The joys of remote working!
