How to setup a REST connection from Qlik Sense to Eurostat REST API

I would like to use the Qlik Sense Rest connector to connect to the Eurostat REST API :

http://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/web/json-and-unicode-web-services/getting-started/rest-request

However, when I try to use it in Qlik Sense, I get the following error message when testing the connection : HTTP protocol error 502 (Bad Gateway) - Your request has been denied for security reasons

Any idea why this is, and how to make it work ?

The query URL I'm trying is the following : http://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/wdds/rest/data/v2.1/json/en/hlth_ehis_sk1e?sex=F&sex=M&sex=T&precision=...

(you can build REST API queries at Eurostat here :Query builder - Eurostat)

I'm using version 3.2.4 of Qlik Sense Desktop.

It worked fine after I added a spoof User_Agent to the Query Header when creating the Qlik Data Connection as a Qlik Rest Connector

Query Headers

    Name    User-Agent

    Value      Spoof

Here is the url to a thread re a similar issue https://www.qlikcommunity.org/thread/237324 , albeit connecting to GitHub

Hi,

it seems to be some error on side of Qlik, because e.g. with Power BI I am able to connect. With Qlik Sense June 2017 I am getting error ACCESS DENIED - Your request has been denied for security reasons

Only the person who created the thread can mark a resolution, but if you like a reply you can Like it.

It is a bit of a frig though, so could be worthwhile searching the web re User_Agent spoofing just in case Eurostat see loads of spoof requests and block them.  It may be better instead of using a Value of Spoof to use your name.
