Hello Qlikers!
I have a requirement to pull data into QLIK SENSE from a SharePoint list. So far I have attempted the following method:
RPC Calls
Selected WebFile -
Entered the following URL with correct content - http://my-server/my-site/_vti_bin/owssvr.dll?CS=65001;XMLDATA=1;RowLimit=0;List=2D204C18-8C80-468D-A...
Could you validate this is correct or if this method is only valid for QlikView? Additionally, are there any other methods other than SQL to accomplish this?
Thank you!
TD
Tim,
Assuming your link is good, then this should work. You could also use the REST connector. Either method worked for me. The REST connector parses the data a little oddly so I preferred the webfile method.

The URL looks fine. Could it be permissions! The qlik system account has been added to the site permissions on SharePoint.
Is there documentation for the REST method?
Also, I am working on the Qlik Sense Enterprise version. Could this be a reason for the blank screen after XML is selected?
Also, I tried on the personal edition desktop and received a error "Access denied. This authentication has failed or has not been provided.
Please kindly advise.
Thank you - TD
I've had similar permissions issues with the Enterprise version. I'm still in the process of trying to authenticate our Qlik server to our Sharepoint site.
So far I've only been able to connect to Sharepoint via the desktop version. Are you using the REST connector to pass credentials? My authentication worked fine, but I used the "Use Windows Authentication" = Yes. I really can't help with authentication issues. I've been working through our credential issues with our IT department.
I got to to work pain free in Qlik View. No luck found in Qlik Sense.
Thanks for passing along the information
If you do it on Enterprise you running as the service user. Enable the service user on your sharePoint and it will work like a charm
Hi,
try to go to the excel file from the web connector.
Please make sure that the URL looks like :
https://yourwebsitehere/Folder1/SubFolder/YourExcelFile.xlsx
So basically when you enter this URL in your browser, you should be able to download the excel file on desktop.
That way your QlikSense will show that you connected excel via a website.
Hi
I am trying to connect an macro enabled file(.xlsm) from sharepoint.
