Loading data from a local SQL Server

Hi,

I have a client who has data on a local SQL Server only.  As far as I know there are no ODBC drivers or other that I can use.  How do I use Qlik to get that data?

@Nathan_Kress

With QlikSense default installation you will have the ODBC Connector package installed aswell. This package consists of a connector to connect to SQL Database called "Microsoft SQL Server". You can navigate to Qlik Sense Add data or Data load editor dialogs to find the connector which you can use to connect to SQL database.

Please find the reference link for that connector.

How do I get the QlikSense default installation?  I signed up for the free trial and logged into their web client but I don't see anywhere to download Qliksense.

QlikSense is not available free of cost and you need to purchase a valid license to use the QlikSense Enterprise version.

However you need to make sure to have an account to login to https://community.qlik.com/

Then you may navigate to Support -> Product News -> Downloads to download the Enterprise version of QlikSense.

You may then follow the below help page to install the product.

https://help.qlik.com/en-US/sense/February2022/Content/Sense_Helpsites/Home.htm

You can always get a test/evaluation license from Qlik to use our product.
