Microsoft SQL Connection Error

Hi guys

I am trying to create data connection but because of the free trial version i cant use OLE DB, so I am trying to use Microsoft SQL Server, but despite trying everything i cant make the connection. I read every community post here but none of them worked. I even tried Gateway direct acces but that doesnt work either.

I write the servername written in sql local network, and i am sure the username and password are correct.

  • I tried port 1433, 1434 and 0 none of them solved the problem.
  • I gave every permission to the user in microsoft sql  settings.
  • I made sure TCP\IP, Named Services and Shared Memory in SQL Server Configuration Manager are enabled.

After all that I read some post about Direct Gateway Access so I tried do do that too.

I created a space and i gave every permission.

And I downloaded qlik-data-gateway-direct-access.exe and got the data gateway key, then created a Data gateway and made sure Qlik Data Gateway connects (from Windows Services) and its state "Connected" in qlik cloud.

And this didnt work too. I dont know what to do.

Thanks

Hi,

For your first attempt, I think you need to open port in your firewall, but it's seem to be a bad idea.

For the second attempt, did you try server IP or FQDN in the Server name field ?
