Native Google Big Query Issue - Not Validating

Hi,

I am trying to use the native google big query connector in Feb 2018 release (patch 2).

I have followed the guide and have enabled billing on the account for Google and also have projects that I can select using the google querying tool. However, when trying to validate the key from the google account the connector pop-up simply sits spinning as shown in the screenshot below:

The connector does pop open the google login and google provides the code (as you can see below) but there is no error or confirmation and the circle keeps spinning on screen, even if this is left for a considerable amount of time.

I have checked the server log's and cannot see any errors or warnings on these at all, but as it does not timeout I am not really surprised.

Any help or anything to check on this would be great, I have tried this on multiple installs with and without web connectors installed.

Thanks

Lee

Hi

Same here, Using Qlik Web Connectors works, but Native BigQuery Connector doesn't validate.

Thanks

I have now solved the issue with help from Qlik support, you have to install the latest Google certificate...

You also need a data table in your project, but see response below:

It seems to be related to the fact that Google has issued new certificates. You have to download and install the certification on every machine that uses the Qlik Google BigQuery Connector.

The certificate should be installed to:

Certificates (Local Computer) > Trusted Root Certification Authorities > Certificates

or

Certificates (Local Computer) > Intermediate Certification Authorities > Certificates

I installed the certificate in both locations mentioned by Lee_Connor but I still get the blank "Catalog".

@Anonymous , can you give more details of what ended up working for you?

Update: The problem is that I was behind a proxy. Works now! Thanks
