Good Morning,
We have been using the SAP Report Connector work around outlined in file:///C:/Users/ramsey/Downloads/Steps%20for%20SAP%20Report%20Connection%20in%20Qliksense.pdf for a couple of years and it has worked fine. However on Friday we patched our system for “High Security fixes for Qlik Sense Enterprise for Windows (CVE-2024-55579 and CVE-2024-55580)”. After the patch the SAP Report Connector is failing with this message
I verified the file is still in the location and all the script is unchanged. Reading the desc of the security issue the patch addressed I suspect the patch is causing this. Is anyone else experiencing this? Or know of something to check?
UPDATE:
My Qlik partner submitted a ticket to QLik and they responded with having me in the engine settings file in C:\ProgramData\Qlik\Sense\Engine\Settings.ini add in EnableDllLegacyCheck=0 then restart the engine service and that seemed to correct mine.
Hi! a couple of things I have in mind are to verify DLL permissions, did you check the DLL file (QvSAPReportConnector.dll) has the correct permissions?
The account running Qlik Sense services should have read and execute permissions for the DLL.
In any case I suggest to review the release notes or documentation for the patch you applied.
Moreover, try to see if there is a newer version of the SAP Report Connector compatible with the latest patch.
I just went and checked and the account had the right permissions but that was a good idea. Went ahead and gave the account full permissions for the DLL and it failed still.
Since posting this I have patched it once again since Patch 14 was pulled from the download center. Updated to patch 15 and the problem remains. I guess my next step will be to update to November 2024 and see if that fixes it.
Ok, let me know, any chance of newer version of SAP Report Connector?
Hey,
we got the same problem. Did the update to Nov 24 fix the problem?
We havent gotten to do the update yet do to the holidays. I want to try and get it done next week and will report back. This is a frustrating issue.
