Qlik Sense authorization for Hive connection using Apache Ranger

Hi All,

We are having Feb 21 and trying to connect native Hive connector in Qlik Connectors and we did actually. But it seems there is a lack of some information on the connection. We can't see any database or table on the connection.

On the other hand with a regular ODBC conn. we tried, can connect and see databases/tables. But too many, without any permission on Hive, we could see and select all data on Hive.

There is Apache Ranger implemented on the Hive ecosystem, so all table permissions given from there, not in Hive. I look up some examples about that, mostly say need to give grant on Hive which is not a solution for us because we need to give access from the Ranger says our Big Data Admin.

Therefore I wonder any special permissions need to give for Qlik Connection to see by service account on Hive connection from Ranger. Any documentation could help, guide us. Do we have any limitations about Ranger to Qlik Sense Hive Connector right now?

Thanks,
