Strava connector - FriendsActivities stopped working

The FriendsActivities part of the Strava connector has stopped working for me. The other aspects all work, but that one returns an error:

There was an error running the table (Failed on attempt 1 to GET. (The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized.){"message":"Authorization Error","errors":[]})

I had it on a 4-hour schedule so I don't think it should have hit any API limits and, if it had, I would have imagined I'd be blocked from the other endpoints too...

Hi Alex,

We have also experienced similar issues in automated tests, it's probably related to recent Strava API changes (see https://developers.strava.com/docs/changelog/ & https://developers.strava.com/docs/january-2018-update/) and we are looking into the issue.

Sorry for any inconvenience caused, we'll update here when we have a solution...

Hi again, we are still awaiting a response. It's not clear to us whether this is an intentional change to the API as the related docs are not clear.

Hi Alex,

As we have not heard anything from Strava yet, or seen any updates to the relevant Google Groups threads, we can only assume that the v3/activities/following endpoint has been deprecated (although it seems strange that it is returning a 401 and not a 404 if that is the case). So unfortunately we are not currently able to fix this issue in the connector and you will not be able to use the FriendsActivities table.

If we hear anything we will update here.
