Qlik Data Gateway Error

Hi,

During the past weekend our reloads using the Qlik Data Gateway (version 1.6.6) ran into failures with the following error: 

Data has not been loaded. Please correct the error and try loading again.

The following error occurred:

Internal error. (Connector error: Unknown reason:. Object reference not set to an instance of an object. (DirectAccess-1500))

The engine error code: EDC_ERROR:22013

The service was still running but I restarted it anyway and things are up and running again. But I want to have an idea of what caused this to happen to decrease the chance of this happening again.

I still use the automation on all of my reloads because I have found the qlik connector very unstable, across multiple scenarios. I have not had more DirectAccess-1500 since 2025-02-13. I more often get 1512 errors now:

Internal error. (Connector error: Status(StatusCode="Internal", Detail="ERROR [42000] Command timeout has expired.") (DirectAccess-1512))

Internal error. (Connector error: Status(StatusCode="Internal", Detail="ERROR [08S01] TDSConnectionFailed, ") (DirectAccess-1512))

Internal error. (Connector error: Status(StatusCode="Internal", Detail="ERROR [HY000] Transaction (Process ID 102) was deadlocked on lock resources with another process and has been chosen as the deadlock victim. Rerun the transaction., ") (DirectAccess-1512))

We're on 1.7.1 with a custom patch by Qlik after a few support tickets from some SAP issues. These above issues are not from SAP.

We updated from 1.6.6 to 1.7.2, there is less errors, but it's still have errors...

We got this : 
Error: Internal error. (Connector error: The computed authentication tag did not match the input authentication tag. (DirectAccess-4021))

When you said that you use the automation to reload, do you means Qlik Automation ? or Windows task scheduler ?

I use the Qlik Automation. It's nice to hear there's some other users also encountering the same issues.

Hi @panda23,

Regarding the (DirectAccess-4021) errors you are seeing in v1.7.2, have a look at Qlik Help entry Troubleshooting Direct Access Gateway > Caching data for reload in the event of a problem.

I'm having the same error:

The following error occurred:
Internal error. (Connector error: Unknown reason:. Unable to establish connection. Persistent rejection by target computer. (localhost:9027) (DirectAccess-1500))

I'm using version 1.7.5 of DAG.

The DAG's State is "Connected".

I also noted the relative connection (ODBC via DIrect Access gateway) seems to be unable to locate System DSN anymore, see below:

Could anyone help me to fix this issue?

I am getting this error after upgrade to 1.7.7

Internal error. (Connector error: Status(StatusCode="Unavailable", Detail="Error reading next message. IOException: The request was aborted. IOException: Unable to read data from the transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.. SocketException: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.", DebugException="System.IO.IOException: The request was aborted.") (DirectAccess-1512))

Hi,

We are still facing this issue. However, it appears to be somewhat more stable since the update to QDG 1.7.7.
