QDF Qlik Sense Exercises

These exercises are intended for QDF version 1.7 or later please read QDF Qlik Sense Getting Started Guide first, this document includes more details on how to deploy QDF with Qlik Sense. To understand what containers are and used for please read QDF QlikView Getting Started Guide. These documents are available on Qlik Community as well as extracted during the deployment framework setup.

Hi Magnus, not sure who wrote this document but the This exercises for QDF 1.7 is missing something and contains errors.

Exercise 3. 5

For QDF 1.7.0 for a Qlik Sense Container Type, There is no 1.Application under 0.Administration

Exercise 4.1

There is no orders QVD when the SQL and SAP containers are created.

The following error occurred:

Cannot open file: 'lib://Root/1000.system\2.sql\1.QVD/Orders.qvd'

The error occurred here:

[Orders]: LOAD * FROM [lib://Root/1000.system\2.sql\1.QVD/Orders.qvd] (qvd)

Hi Victor and thanks for the input. Regarding 3.5, i've updated the documentation to reflect the container design for Qlik Sense.  Regarding 4.1, that was a bug you found related to a change in Qlik Sense url operator (\ to /) the updated function is available in the latest QDF Deploy Tool. Just download, run and reinitiate.
