generate log file as default

Hi

I would like to know if there any option on QMC (Server Or Publisher) to generate log file as a default in every new model or exists model

( I mean a log file that shows the ETL process).

Hello Ariel,

Normally QlikView (QMC) is generating LogFile of the document and Task Result after each job execution / reload automatically.

Default Path is (on the machine where QlikServer is installed): C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\DistributionService\1\Log\<today's date>\.

If you have access to QMC you can check your path in: System->Setup->ReloadEngine->General -> In Settings for QDS, please check path "C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\SourceDocuments"

In addition in every .qvw file you can switch on generating logfile.

Go to Settings > Document properties > General -> on the right hand side check Generate Logfile.

I do know how to find the logfile on the server

I ask if you know how to set the models to generate logfile by default

we have a lot of Qlikview developers and i want to be sure that every new model will generate logfile

Don't think there is that option. Logfile (I mean document logfile) is a flag in the document, not in the QMC.

Ask the developer to flag

menù --> settings --> user preferences --> design --> always use logfiles for new documents

and logfile will be set for every new doc
