Analyzer Capacity License allocation

I have the setup below

  • Qlik Cloud tenant with Azure AD SSO.
  • A mix of Professional, Analyzer and Analyzer Capacity licenses.  (I do have available capacity left in my tenant)
  • An AD Group "qlik_space_nnn_user" containing all user that should be able to access applications in the Managed Space "nnn".
  • Professional and Analyzer licenses are allocated to a list of named users (within the ad group), but the majority are to consume the applications using the Analyzer Capacity license.
  • In the ad group "qlik_space_nnn_user" is given the Can view" access to the "nnn" space.

This is my expected behaviour.

  • All users should be able to access the application. The named users with Professional and Analyser licenses will use those licenses and the remaining users will be able to use minutes of the capacity license when opening the application.

This is my observerd behaviour.

  • All the named users with allocated Professional and Analyzer licenses are able to see and open the applications in the space.
  • None of the remaining users are able to access the applications.

Am I missing something in my setup? Why are the remaining user not able to consume the applications? As I understand, there is no explicit property in the console that needs to be activated in order to let users automaticly use the Analyzer Capacity License. All users within my ad group should be able to access the apps within that space as long the group have can_view access to that space.

I did contact Qlik Support for this issue. The premissions to the managed space where given throug groups from the Azure AD. Support told me there is a known limitation that R&D are currently working on where there the Space Permissions are delayed for group Assignments. This caused the users to be able to open the space, but did not manage to see nor open apps due to the delay.

Hello,

Have you enabled the analyzer entitlement in the settings :

Enable dynamic assignment of analyzer users
New users who log in are assigned analyzer entitlement until all analyzer entitlements have been used. If the dynamic professional assignment is enabled, all professional entitlements will be used before any analyzer entitlements are used.

Hi @Akshesh_Patel

Thanks for reaching out. What you are writing is correct, but my question was related to the Capacity Analyzer License.

As I understand it, by activating the "Enabling dynamic assignment of analyzer users" function all my named Analyzer user licenses will be assigned dynamicly to the first users who attemt to access the application, but I would like to keep those licenses not to be assigned dynamicly I only want to dynamicly assign the analyzer capacity.
