Can abortion of reload task mess up data?

I suppose last step of reload is to save data to file share?
If I abort reload task during that phase, or abort at any phase, will data be messed up?

Yes, it may happens ... that the files are incomplete or corrupt and especially if the task contained multiple statements that any in-between steps aren't finished ...
