Hello everyone,
I'm trying to install Qlik Sense Server on my laptop, but I must be doing something wrong because after installation completes I cannot log in to QMC. All services are running and I have tried accessing QMC from IE and Chrome, both show the same error message. I am running win 8.1. Would it be related to a certificate?
Any ideas?
Attach the system log files in the following locations:
l %ProgramData%\Qlik\QlikView\Log\Proxy
l %ProgramData%\Qlik\QlikView\Log\Repository
Hello Alexander,
Thanks for your reply. I attached the logs.
Kind regards,
Bogdan
Are you sure that all services are up and running normally?
Try to restart the service click sense, and even better server and try over again.
information in the log indicates the inaccessibility of services

Bogdan,
Yes, it could be related to digital certs. try to restart the services at least 2 times so it can sync up with Qlik Sense management. If that does not work, try the following:
Here is the process to find and possibly recreate the certificates if you need to -
There's no need to do a full reinstall to propagate new certificates. They are being created by the Repository Service automatically if missing.
Gio
Hello Gio,
Thank you for the reply. I tried deleting the certificate and restarting the services a couple of times. After this, a new QlikClient certificate was posted to Personal-Certificates but not replicated in Trusted Root Certification Authorities (is this by design?). I copied the certificate from Personal to Trusted, but this did not fix the error message, I still get error 500.
Kind regards,
Bogdan
Hello Bogdan,
I would recommend you bring this to our Technical Support, should the information you've received here not help just yet. Keep in mind that licensed Qlik Sense Server installations are fully supported by Qlik, and we are looking forward to hearing from you there.
Kind Regards,
Sonja
Bogdan,
I agree with Sonja, go head and open a support ticket ( if you have a Qliksense license, if not let us know here) However, it seems that the issue the trusted root is not generating the "CA" certificate. for any chance, do you have a long list of certificate under trusted root?
Gio
Hello Sonja,
Thank you for replying. We will get the Sense Partner License this week, but I wanted to have the Server prepared. Never got to the screen where I could enter the license code though
I will submit the case once I have the licenses, but hopefully I'll manage to fix it until then.
@ Gio, I have 37 certificates listed in Trusted Root.
@ Alexander, I also saw the error messages but I cannot figure out why that happens. I have copied the QlikClient certificate from Personal to Trusted Root, restarted the services and they look fine.
I know for sure it's just a little thing somewhere, I just need to figure out what. It is not so urgent or business impacting, but thank you everyone for your help and interest.
Kind regards,
Bogdan
I think Cetificate - personal - certificate is not what you need. Certificate in the trusted zone of the other. They do not replace each other.
in trusted zone certificate have description - host,domain.com-CA
All issuance policies
All application policies
and personal certificate - host.domain.com
All application policies
In any case, should help re-create the certificates provided by Gio instructions
