Hi!
I have a filter pane in one dashboard that is taking too much time to open (10+ seconds). I already check with IT and this is not due to performance issues on the server. Also, the total number of rows of all the dimensions in the filter isn't that high (around 15 k). I already tried to remove all the dimensions to put them one by one in order to get the one that is supposed to be the cause but this didn't work, since the object still take a long time to load even with just one filter.
Anyone have any ideas of why this is happening? I discover i workaround which is to double click the Selections button right after the click to open the panel and, surprisingly, the dimensions appear instantly after that.
Hello @Leandro_Silva do you see any error message in web console tab (developer tools, F12) when you perform this selection from a filter pane? If so, which error exactly do you see? Is the app big? Also, do you see if the memory increases a lot when interacting with the filter pane? Looking at the workaround you mentioned, for me it seems more an product defect but I cannot be sure without testing the app 🙂 Would it be possible for you to provide a sample app where you can reproduce the issue so I can test it using the same Qlik Sense release? Thanks!
Hi @Patricia_Silva. Thanks for the reply. I checked and there isn't any error messages in the web console tab. Analyzing the problem yesterday I could notice that one of the two charts (a bar chart) of one of the two containers present in the dashboard is what is causing the issue. So, strange as may sound, I just switch the position of the charts in this container and the time to load all the filters dropped considerably.
I don't know why this maneuver worked. Do you have any ideas on why a bar chart could interfere in the performance of another object? (such as a filter pane)
And I can't share a sample of this app because I am working with company's critical data. But, like I mentioned the app isn't that big and complex. It has actually these two containers (with 2 charts in one and two tables in the other) and the filter pane. The total amount of records in the entire application is around 15 k.
Thanks!
Hello @Leandro_Silva, I cannot say for sure what could have cause the problem as I cannot test exactly the same application. Yes, indeed, there are not much records. So is it now working any better? Thanks 🙂
Hi @Patricia_Silva. Yes, it’s working better now but I don’t know for sure why 😂.
Thanks for your time 🙂
