Multi-Cloud Deployment DNS

My team is wanting to transition from GCP to AWS and I have been tasked with performing that transition. I want to be thorough in my planning. Until I have the complete AWS deployment tested, we would like to maintain our GCP infra. As far as DNS resolution for our domain is concerned, is it possible to have name servers in both AWS and GCP that both resolve queries for our domain? Perhaps what I’m looking for is subdomain delegation? Another suggestion I’ve seen is that if the public facing bit of my app is hosted on CloudFront then I can point the currently existing GCP name server to the CDN and then “the origins can be anywhere”. If I’ve indicated any confusions surrounding DNS please let me know.
