Nodes: Is it recommended to have one node smaller in hardware spec compared to the other(s)?

Hi,

Is it recommended to have one node smaller in hardware spec compared to the other(s)?

Let's say you have:

  1. Central node with 16 cores and 200GB of RAM.
  2. Second node with 8 cores and 150GB of RAM.

Is something like this recommended? Or what is the recommendation, to have all nodes the same spec?

Hi, that depends of the use you want to give to each node and how you configure the load balancing rules. You can configure some big apps to only load in the big nodes.

In fact you can have a low-spec node as a central node just to work as proxy and master scheduler, distributing users and tasks to other nodes.
