we have a fully functional May 2023 Initial Release installation (14.129.6). Before that, February 2023 versions with patches.
As we tried to upgrade to August 2023 (and following patches), the installer asked us to upgrade to stand-alone Postgres (14). We did that using Qlik PostgreSQL Installer. Afterwards Postgres125.msi was used to uninstall it - success.
Everything in QMC/Hub still works fine, Qlik Sense Util shows no error or issue. Task are running, all connections there, etc. Apparently, the connection to the DB and SenseShare are fine.
But now, instead of asking for Postgres-debundling, the August 2023 installer talks about changing from synchronized to shared persistence. We have only a central node which is correctly using PostgreSQL and the SenseShare-folder, so this does not make sense. When I put in the correct folder from QMC, it does not work.
Also, when trying to install any May 2023 Patch, the patch-installer won't recognize the May 2023 IR ("Update failed: Ensure that Qlik Sense May 2023 is installed before you install Qlik Sense May 2023 Patch 7.").

- Full administrator rights ("root"-admin")
- SenseShare-Folder is "shared" with the "Qlik Sense Users Group" and owned by the service-user
- In C:\ProgramData\Package Cache has other installs or (old) patches, only May 2023
- Control Panel > Software has no other Updates or Installations
- I tried re-naming the folder with C:\ProgramData\Package Cache\{...}\Qlik_Sense_setup.exe which seems to be help with other problesm.
- We used the "repair" function of May 2023 installer - no help. Repair .logs appear fine
- Qlik Sense May 2023 Initial Release is fully functional, before and after PostgreSQL debundling

Is this general issue known? I found some similar ones, sometimes a few years old but not exact this one.
Is there a known fix?
I assume if there is no solution here, I am left with uninstalling May 2023 and installing August 2023 instead, importing the DB and SenseShare backup?
I can provide more or special logs.
