Just discovered that a business-critical task in QMC (set to run every few hours every day) had been deleted yesterday, even though no one had actually done the deletion.
On the other hand, at that time, one of our developers was republishing the app that was associated with the task that was deleted.
After tracing what had happened via the Operations Monitor (kindly see the screenshot of the QMC Change Log that is attached below), it appears that the task associated with the republished app was deleted by the system about 10 seconds BEFORE the app was republished.
FYI, the developer had republished the app by right-clicking on the duplicated app in their Work stream, selecting "Publish" from the drop-down menu that appears, selecting the stream where the original app resides in (in the Publish App dialog box that appears), selecting "Replace the existing app" and then clicking the "Republish" button in that dialog box (i.e., as per the instructions from Republishing an app from the hub).
Has anyone experienced this behavior in Qlik Sense?
In addition, contrary to the solution to another forum post, the AppID of the republished app was also changed from "de700434..." to "b01efaa5..." Could this be the reason why the associated task was deleted, as the app it was referencing no longer exists?

If you are 100% sure it happened as you describe you need to get in touch with R&D.
Then it is a bug and you are loosing things in Sense,
not only a reload task that is relatively simple to replace.
You will need to force your way past 1st line support.
Sounds like the original app with ID "de700434..."was deleted, then associated items like the reload task is automatically deleted (as there no longer exists the app it is supposed to reload).
Are you absolutely sure your developer replaced the exsting app and not just "replaced" it by publishing a new app and deleting the old?
Other things that will dissapear are forum and personal sheets in the application and bookmarks and storytelling.
Hi, @anderseriksson , yes, I had grilled the developer about the steps taken, and they had even showed me the steps on-screen for republishing the app (which did follow the instructions in Republishing an app from the hub). 😬

Thanks for the advice, @anderseriksson ! I am going to try to replicate the problem with some test apps & tasks before contacting Qlik Support.
