logging service not starting after qlik sense site restore

Hi,

I tried to restore our current Qlik sense standalone site for test purposes, we are using Feb 2018 sp1 version.

I used this link to backup and recover the site on a server with a different hostname. https://help.qlik.com/en-US/sense/February2018/Subsystems/PlanningQlikSenseDeployments/Content/Deplo...

Everything looks fine. But I had to add the current administrator user as RootAdmin. But before and after this change, I am unable to start the logging service. When I look in the event viewer I only get this message:

The Qlik Logging Service service terminated with the following error:

An exception occurred in the service when handling the control request.

I think that there is still an issue with the Repository database, but I don't know how I can resolve the issue.

Any idea how to proceed and get to logging to work?

Thanks for your help

With Qlik support I solved this issue by shutting down the logging service on the test server. This is possible by executing the following command in an elevated command prompt:

Q
lik.Logging.Service.exe update -d off
