Update a tag in Gitlab when migration process from v7.1 to v8 is done with commandLine

Hi Community,

We are upgrading our Talend product from v7 to v8 and we are using the commandLine to do this.

Once the commandLine opens the project/branch, a migration process is executed and all necessary files are successfully updated(at this point only locally). Since the migrated project is created with AUTOCOMMIT option, Git repois also updated with the v8 infos (talend.project has the right productVersion="Talend ... v8 ...")

Now, when a Tag is fetched locally and opened with the CommandLine a migration process is also executed and all files are locally updated. But the TAG repo in GITLAB still points to the version v7.

I know that by definition "Tags are ref's that point to specific points in Git history" but I'am wondering if it possible to update the tag so that it will point to the v8 version of Talend. It can be misleading when in same GIT repo, branches point to v8 and tags still pointing to v7.

It could be more of a GIT issue, and I am looking for the proper way to achieve this.

Thank you.
